The Adrian Mears & Rainer Böhm Duo
Adrian Mears; Posaune, Didgeridoo & loops

Since his arrival in Europe in 1993 Adrian Mears quickly established a reputation as a leading voice in Jazz Trombone in Europe. A all round creative musician, grounded in the Jazz tradition, but always open to explore contemporary concepts in harmony and rhythm. In 1996, whilst living in Munich, a spontaneous opportunity arose to invite master drummer, David Jones to join his quintet for a few concerts. At that time, Adrian‘s originals were experimenting with poly-rhythmic concepts and odd meters, music that’s often associated as mathematical and requiring great technical precision. David fulfills these requirements with ease and offers much much more. Not only possessing skill and diligence David has an overwhelming spiritual philosophy of life, transcending all complexity into a beautiful organic flow. His long list of credits and achievements confirm his reputation as one of the world’s greatest drummers.
Many years have passed, only a few online recording collaborations together, but still remained in close contact hoping a future project would bring them back together, and here it is!!
